01 — How it works

What a managed Google Ads campaign actually does

A paid search campaign puts your business in front of someone at the exact moment they type a buying query into Google. When a plumber searches "emergency pipe repair singapore" or a founder searches "outsourced payroll pricing", your ad can be the first thing they see — and you only pay when they click.

The craft is in what happens around that click. We structure campaigns by intent, write ads that match the search, and point each ad at a landing page built to answer it. Conversion tracking measures which keywords and audiences produce real enquiries, and the budget moves towards what works. Done well, the account becomes a controllable tap: turn it up when you have capacity, down when you do not.

02 — What we run

The campaign types we manage

We pick the mix that suits your goals and budget, not a template. Most accounts start with Search, then add channels as the conversion data justifies them.

Search Ads

Text ads on Google results for high-intent queries. The core of most accounts, because you reach people already looking for what you sell rather than interrupting them.

Performance Max

A single campaign that serves across Search, Display, YouTube, Gmail and Maps. Powerful when the conversion tracking is clean, so we set it up deliberately rather than as a default.

Remarketing & retargeting

Ads shown to people who visited your site but did not enquire. A modest, well-capped remarketing layer is often the most cost-efficient part of an account.

Local & Google Business Profile ads

Campaigns that promote a physical premises or service area, including calls and directions from Google Maps. We align these with your organic local presence so the two reinforce each other.

Landing page & conversion tracking

An ad is only as good as the page it lands on. We align messaging between the two and build proper conversion tracking, so reporting reflects real enquiries, not vanity clicks.

Shopping ads

For ecommerce: product listings driven by a well-structured Google Merchant Center feed. We fix feed quality first, because most Shopping performance is won or lost in the data, not the bids.

03 — How we work

Paid search, run honestly

Google Ads is easy to spend and easy to waste. Our job is to make every dollar accountable and keep you in control of the account.

Transparent reporting

You see the real numbers: actual ad spend, cost-per-click, cost-per-lead and where the budget went. Our management fee is stated separately from spend, so you always know what you are paying Google and what you are paying us.

You own the account and data

Campaigns live in a Google Ads account registered to you, operated through manager access. If we part ways, the account, its history and its conversion data stay with you — no hostage-taking, no rebuilds.

No lock-in

A short initial term to gather enough data to optimise, then month-to-month. We would rather keep the account because the results justify it than because a contract traps you.

Paid and organic, cross-checked

We compare your paid keywords against the terms you already rank for organically, so you are not paying for clicks your SEO already wins. Where a page ranks well without ads, we redirect that budget to gaps SEO cannot cover quickly.

Why Media On Tap

Most agencies earn more when you spend more. We earn the same either way — so the only number we chase is your cost per lead.

Here is the part of paid search nobody advertises. Many Singapore agencies bill their fee as a percentage of your ad spend — typically somewhere between 10% and 20%. It sounds fair until you notice the incentive it builds in: the more they persuade you to spend, the more they earn, whether or not those extra dollars bring a single extra customer.

Our management fee is a flat monthly figure, stated separately from your media budget. When we halve your cost per lead, our fee does not fall. When your spend climbs, our fee does not rise. That leaves us exactly one way to keep the account — make the money you already spend work harder — which is the only job you were hiring for.

Around that sits the rest of how we run: a senior practitioner on the account rather than a junior pool, campaigns built inside an account registered to you from day one, and no lock-in past a short initial term. And if the audit shows paid search is not your real constraint, we will tell you before you spend a dollar.

04 — Google Ads FAQ

Straight answers about paid search

In our experience most Singapore SMEs start meaningfully at around SGD 1,500 to SGD 3,000 per month in ad spend, with competitive categories such as legal, aesthetics or property needing more. Management fees are quoted separately after we review your account and goals. We would rather set a budget large enough to gather real conversion data than spread a small spend too thin across too many keywords.

For our Essential and Professional plans, no — the management fee is a flat monthly figure, separate from what you pay Google, and it does not rise as your budget grows. Many agencies bill a percentage of ad spend, commonly 10 to 20 percent, which means their fee climbs every time you increase your budget. Only our Enterprise tier uses a 12 percent of spend option for high-budget accounts, and that is still below the typical percentage range. A flat fee keeps our incentive on your cost per lead rather than on talking you into a bigger budget.

Google Ads buys placement at the top of the results page and stops the moment you stop paying. SEO earns placement over months and tends to keep it. Ads deliver traffic within days, which makes them useful for testing offers and covering queries where you do not yet rank. The two work best together, which is why we cross-check paid keywords against what you already rank for organically so you are not paying for clicks SEO already wins.

Yes. We build campaigns inside a Google Ads account that you own, and we operate it through manager (MCC) access rather than holding your login. If we ever part ways, the account, its history and its conversion data stay with you. The same applies to your Google Analytics property and conversion tracking.

Ads can start serving within a day or two of launch, so you may see clicks and enquiries in the first week. Reliable performance takes longer: the account usually needs a few weeks of conversion data before we can optimise bids, audiences and creative with confidence. Early numbers are a signal to learn from, not a verdict on the campaign.

Yes, where it fits. Performance Max can work well for ecommerce and lead generation, but it hands a lot of control to Google's automation, so we use it deliberately: with clean conversion tracking, sensible asset groups, and often alongside standard Search campaigns rather than in place of them. If your account is not yet ready for it, we will say so.

Yes, and it is how we prefer to work. Running paid search and SEO together lets us use ad data to inform which organic keywords are worth pursuing, and use organic coverage to decide where paid spend is redundant. You can see the complementary work on our SEO marketing page.

How our pricing compares

A flat fee, not a cut of your spend

We can't publish other agencies' quotes, and we won't invent them. What we can do is compare the two pricing models honestly — because the model shapes your bill far more than any single headline number.

*Essential and Professional are flat regardless of spend. Enterprise uses 12% of spend only for high-budget accounts — still below the typical 10–20% range. “The common agency model” describes typical market practice, not any specific competitor.

The honest version: at a small budget, a percentage fee can be cheaper on day one. What it cannot be is predictable or neutral — it rises every time your spend does, and it quietly rewards the agency for talking you into a bigger budget. A flat fee is fixed, and the only reason we would ever suggest spending more is that your own numbers already justify it.
